Armenian GLOW

Girls Leading Our World (GLOW) Armenia endeavors to empower girls and promote leadership through education in a community of strong women. GLOW began as a Peace Corps initiative in Romania in 1995 and quickly spread to other Peace Corps countries. GLOW camps have been held in Armenia since 2008. Since 2015, Youth Initiative Centre (YIC) NGO has taken over the implementation of the program in Armenia. The GLOW program creates a safe and supportive environment for learning, cultural exchange, individuality, creativity, leadership development, and fun. This program seeks to empower girls from various socioeconomic backgrounds, abilities, and ages. GLOW Armenia provides an opportunity for young women to develop the leadership skills and confidence necessary to establish themselves as strong figures in a patriarchal society.
