Arto Tchiftchian

Arto Tchiftchian is currently the Music Director of Bulgarian Chamber Orchestra – Dobrich and was awarded with Crystal Lyre by the Union of Bulgarian Musicians and Dancers as Conductor of the Year 2023. He has concert activities, including festivals in Bulgaria, such as Sofia Music Weeks. Bulgarian Chamber Orchestra – Dobrich was nominated for the Crystal Lyre as Orchestra of the Year 2023. Arto Tchiftchian has established himself as one of the leading conductors of his generation in Bulgaria, Europe. He had symphony concerts and opera performances with the best professional state symphony orchestras and state opera houses in his native country - Bulgaria. He had appearances with Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra in Yerevan, one of the best orchestras of Eastern Europe. He has orchestrations and arrangements of pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, Paul Lincke and Ernesto Lecuona. Music and artistic director positions held by Arto Tchiftchian: Rousse State Opera House – Bulgaria; Antalya State Opera and Ballet – Turkey; Danubian Sounds Mix Choir – Rousse, Bulgaria; Founder and Director of Plovdiv Youth Symphony Orchestra – Bulgaria; Haskovo City Symphony Orchestra – Bulgaria. He was awarded with Bulgarian Medals for Culture and awards of Borghese Foundation for Music for excellence of performance of symphony music.
