The Friendship Association between Italy and Armenia ZATIK, duly registered with a notarial deed, has worked since its inception for the recognition of the Armenian genocide by the Italian Parliament, in the wake of what has already been done by the UN and numerous countries . The recognition, which followed that of numerous municipalities of large and small Italian cities such as Rome, Milan, Venice etc., took place on 17 November 2000, following the work carried out with all the political forces and with the unification in the only motion among those presented by them.Furthermore, the Association has promoted various conferences, studies and debates to raise awareness among public and parliamentary opinion.
