Nuovo Armenia

Nuovo Armenia is a social promotion association that offers an inclusive and multidisciplinary cultural program aimed at expanding our horizons beyond borders. It promotes contemporary filmmaking from Africa, Asia, and Latin America, a culture of community, and a pluralistic approach to the association's planning and management. It operates within a public urban space undergoing a grassroots redevelopment process. At the heart of Nuovo Armenia's project is the redevelopment of the building and garden, now the headquarters of our association. The property belongs to the City of Milan but has been granted to the association since 2016 through a public tender. Our name is a tribute to Armenia Films, founded by Johannes H. Zilelian in 1917 and located between Dergano and Bovisa.
