Representation of Armenia to the International Organization on Francophonie (OIF)

In 2003 at the Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) Summit, Armenia acquired observer status in the OIF, and then at the Quebec-Canada summit in October, 2008, Armenia became an associate member of the OIF. After acquiring the status of an associate member, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia appointed a Special Adviser on Francophonie issues in order to coordinate Francophone initiatives in Armenia.
