The Genocide Education Project (or “GenEd”), assists educators in teaching about human rights and genocide. GenEd offers a particular expertise on the Armenian Genocide, its legacy and ongoing manifestations, and its comparative facets with other genocides. We develop secondary school instructional materials and lead professional development workshops across the United States to help educators successfully incorporate this topic into their curriculum. In partnership with the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute (AGMI) in Yerevan, we also run an annual 10-day intensive course in Armenia for 15 U.S. teachers, after which they return to their home states to lead workshops for other teachers. We also provide training to teachers in Armenia attending the AGMI's annual teachers conference.
