In 1961, the department of folklore was transferred from the Institute of Literature to the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography, and in 1973, an anthropological laboratory was established. At the institute, research works are currently being carried out in the fields of Armenian archeology, Armenian ethnography, Armenian folk folklore, anthropology. Archaeological excavations, collection of ethnographic, folklore and other materials through expeditions in Armenia play an important role in the activities of the Institute. Previous Next
