Of the approximately 60,000 Armenians living in Germany, approximately 5,000 live in Baden-Württemberg. Among them are Armenians who remained in Germany after the Second World War, Armenians who immigrated to Germany from Turkey as "guest workers" in the 1970s, Armenians who fled to Germany during the Iranian Revolution, and Armenians who emigrated for various reasons after the fall of the former Soviet Union. There are now at least two generations of Armenians born in Germany. They all find their spiritual home in the Armenian Apostolic Church, of which we are a congregation in Baden-Württemberg.
