The community established its roots, culminating in the consecration of the current church building in 1976, which serves as a center for the approximately 7,000 Armenian Catholics estimated to reside in Brazil, mostly within the São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro areas. Cultural Hub: Beyond religious services, the parish acts as a vital institution for preserving Armenian cultural identity, offering a space for social cohesion and, as noted in studies, "cultural intimacy" for immigrants and their descendants.
