Armenian National Institute of Standards (SARM)

The National Institute of Standards is a closed joint-stock company that operates within the system of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia. The purpose of the company's activity is to make a profit by conducting economic activities and to perform functions within the limits of the powers defined by the RA laws "On Standardization", "On Technical Regulation". Armenia's standardization system is aimed at ensuring the safety and economic well-being of Armenian citizens along with the development of the world economy. The National Institute of Standards represents the Republic of Armenia in the international standardization organization ISO as a full member and in the European standardization organization CEN as an affiliate member.
