About us

The Armenian Apostolic Church in Austria is a state-recognized religious community and is subject to the Catholicos of St. Etchmiadzin (St. Etchmiadzin). The Catholicos (head of the church) is represented by the Patriarchal Delegate for Central Europe and Scandinavia, based in Vienna. The Armenian Apostolic Church in Austria maintains a parish based in the third district of Vienna, as well as sections throughout Austria. The center of the parish is the Church of St. Hripsime at Kolonitzgasse 11 / Armenierplatz in Wien-Landstraße and houses the Hovhannes Shiraz School, as well as various charitable, cultural, student and sports associations
