Fundamental Scientific Library (FLIB) of NAS

The Fundamental Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences - one of the richest libraries of the Republic of Armenia is at the disposal of students of the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (ISEC NAS RA). The Fundamental Scientific Library of NAS RA with its rich collection of books is the largest academic library of RA, a scientific information center providing library, bibliographic, scientific and information services to scientific and research institutions of NAS RA, as well as to other research institutions and specialists of the republic. The Fundamental Scientific Library (FSL) of NAS RA was founded in 1935 attached to the Armenian branch (Armfan) of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. The FSL of NAS RA is a multi-profile library. FSL’s most important tasks are as follows: scientific and research activities in the areas of library science, bibliography, information science and book history, implementation of scientific, cultural and information relations with national and foreign libraries, various institutions and information centers, designing modules for the digital library and their introduction, preparation of personnel for scientific and information area.
