Galstaun College

The Hamazkaine Arshak and Sophie Gaulstaun College opened its doors in 1986 in Terrey Hills after a preliminary planning period of 3 to 4 years. It started with a few demountable buildings and 39 students. The opening of the College doors was the realisation of the vision of many community members who held a strong belief that the establishment of an everyday school is an essential ingredient for the survival of the Armenian community in Australia. The subsequent 30 years have proven that Galstaun College has contributed immensely towards the survival and growth of the Armenian spirit in Australia.
