It holds 750 parishioners, and has a main hall, which was mainly, entitled “Marie Manoogian” Hall, the name of the benefactor. Also, the building has smaller hall on the second floor, which was renovated by the contribution of Karibyan family, and so called “Karibyan Hall’, adjoined with offices, where in September, 1970, the first Armenian daily school, A.G.B.U. Armen – Quebec Alex Manoogian School of Montreal was established. The Altar of the Church with its Armenian version was constructed, by benefactor Mr. Krikor Mazmanian, from Boston. The altar’s architectural design was made by Architect Zaven Baykar, also from Boston. The official consecration of the Church held on December 6, 1970 by the Patriarch of Istanbul, His Eminence Archbishop Shenork Kaloustyan, by the participation of His Eminence Archbishop Torkom Manoukian, Primate of all Armenians in America, and his Grace Bishop Vatche Hobvsepian. Preserving over 6100-year-old Armenian winemaking traditions, Armenia’s rich culture and historical heritage are nowadays combined with excellent opportunities for development of viticulture and winemaking, climatic conditions, rich diversity of grape varieties, modern technologies and scientific potential, strengthening the basis of sustainable development of the sector. The target group we focus on are mainly people with a psychiatric vulnerability and/or a mild intellectual disability. 24-hour guidance, in which personal participation and recovery are important themes, daytime activities and meaning are part of the offer, in addition to psychiatric treatment and expertise. Ohannes Zorg helps people find a new home after their treatment (usually from a psychiatric clinic). Even if these people have completed their treatment, they will still need (particularly) housing assistance for a long time to prevent social decline. We want to offer these people an environment in which they can grow towards their independence. In addition, we are clear, consistent and provide structure, which offers them a framework to experience safety and develop further. It was initially published twice a week (every Tuesday and Friday). In 2010 it started to be published thrice a week (every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday). Nor Haratch was founded in 2009 in response to the closing of the independent daily Haratch, the longest-running French-Armenian publication, founded by Schavarch Missakian in 1925 and continued by his daughter Arpik Missakian since 1957, whose last issue appeared with the date May 30–31, 2009. Five months after Haratch ceased publication, a group of intellectuals started the publication of Nor Haratch (literally New Forward). A limited liability company was established as owner. The first issue of Nor Haratch was published on 27 October 2009. The editorial staff included Haroutiun Gobelian (Executive Editor), Jiraïr Tcholakian (Director of Publication), Nora Baroutjian and Aram Kerovpyan, and correspondents in Armenia and the Middle East.
